Today in class we discussed and checked our Ancient Greece map. We made sure we understood large bodies of water such as where the Mediterranean Sea, Sparta, and Athens is located.  We had a great discussion that Ancient Greece has a rocky terrain with islands and a peninsula.  Also, Ancient Greece is almost surrounded by water which makes for a great deal of trading by the waters.

On Monday we will begin to work on how to research and the difference between plagiarism and how to avoid plagiarism. The students will begin their biography projects. Today, they chose an individual that they would like to learn more about for their biography project.  Next week, the students will be researching that person and putting together their own presentation to teach the class about that person.


Social Studies:
HW:  Keep working on your Egyptian project

Students chose a partner that they wanted to work with and an Egyptian topic that they wanted to work on. Topics could be pharaohs, mummification, pyramids, Egyptian lifestyle, etc.,  They will be researching about this topic and presenting later on March 3rd
